LEXI AND MIKA GOT TOTES SMASHED AND WANDERED HOME—
oops hanna wasn’t the first to introduce mika to appletinis
also expect something tomorrow, ohohohoho.))
Lexi dredged down the street, making sure Mika was behind her. They came to the street where shoddy clubs were lined, low-lives and drunkards jamming the sidewalks. She pushed through them, grabbing Mika’s hand to make sure they weren’t separated. “Recognize any of these places?”
“I…” I looked at each neon sign, pondering each name for a moment. “…Not really…. Sorry.” I chewed on my lip, trying hard to remember if Vinny said where he was going. “I’m not myself tonight.”

She blinked awkwardly. “Okay, well let’s just start by checking in each and narrow it down from there.” Alright, she needed to help him find this Vinny fast; he seemed dazed, drugged almost. “Let’s just find him as quick as possible, ‘kay?” God, I hope we find him fast. I’m dizzy as fuck.
“M’kay.” I resigned to let her lead, having the feeling I might run into someone or something worse if I did. I was currently zoning far too out to realize she might not be at the top of her game, either; but at least she could probably muster actual thoughts.

Huh. This guy sure was an absent-minded angel. “It’s no problem at all.” She sidled up next to him, smiling slightly. “So, where to? What kinda places does he like to hang out at?” It was kinda weird, helping an angel find a guy, especially when he didn’t know why he was searching.
“Well, he’s mentioned more than once a few clubs. I don’t remember any names, though.” I hunched my shoulders up slightly, feeling stupider each time I opened my mouth. Honestly, I’d be best off if I just went back to the apartment and slept - but the need to find Vinny had somehow worked it’s way into my top priorities at the moment. And I was still raking through my mind to find that pesky reason.

Lexi nodded. “Mmmhmm, that’s me.” She tilted to her head. Something seemed off. He seemed to be distracted by something. “Oh, well…you want some help? Find him, I mean.” The guy looked lost and confused, and it looked like he could use some help.
I almost lost what little focus I had again, struggling to not unintentionally ignore her. “Uh, sure. If it’s not any trouble.” I unconsciously scratched the back of my neck, the shirt’s tightness around my wings becoming more noticeable by the minute. “I can’t seem to remember why I wanted to find him, though…”

“Briefly. You’re that Vinny guys guardian, right?” Lexi looked around and down the dark streets. “What’re you doing here anyways? I’d never expect an angel to be in this sorta place.”
Oh yeah. “I’m Lexi, by the way. Just in case you forgot.”
“Yeah, Vinny.” Okay, I’ve seen her before, I know that much. Which in itself shocked me, because for a minute I think I forgot how to move correctly, my hand twitching uselessly at my side. “I was actually looking for Vinny. I can’t remember why.”
Lexi. “The uh, hunter? Right?”

Snorting, she gently poked and prodded the wings stuck in his shirt. Lexi hmmmed and hawwed under her breath. “So, what’re you? A harpy? Some sort of humanoid-bird thing? Or are you…something much more?” Her mind wandered back, recalling that one time she had met that guardian dude. What was his name again? Oh yeah…
“Mika…?”
I was brought to attention at the sound of my name, my mind continuing it’s run-away attempts. “Have we met before?”
In any other situation I would have easily remembered her - but, no; I was barely keeping track of my thoughts at the moment.
